A stack train curves through beautiful Kingman Canyon.
Three on this train, on a gorgeous morning.
My husband and I got to see some trains in scenic Kingman Canyon before I had to teach classes in Las Vegas. It's very beautiful here, I want to come back here on my next trip.
The sun is just starting to reach into the canyon as an intermodal train heads east.
North Star Steels radio controlled GP9 RE-1609 is picking up cars dropped off by the Santa Fe. The RE-1609 is ex-UP 254, ex-CNW 4398, ex-CKRY 4398. Kingman, AZ. 4-14-1998
I love how the trains curve through the canyon.
We just caught this train my husband pulled over and I jumped out and starting taking pictures.
I love the trains in the desert
Right after a Z9, this Q train with a mix of domestic and international containers plus auto racks drifts downgrade.
A hot pig train gets waves from the hot RP Contributor Maryann. What I think is the old 199 now a Z9 symbol whines downgrade the first of three trains in about 30 minutes at 2 PM.
This lashup rounded out our visit to Kingman Canyon. NS & UP EMD's at that.
Another in the Z parade rolls through Kingman Canyon about 10:50 AM right behind the UPS train.
One of BNSF's Z9's rolls through Kingman Canyon around 11:25 AM heading westward. Mostly UPS trailers.
A JP Hunt pig train likely a Z9 something hustles into and through Kingman Canyon.
The first meet of the afternoon was between this Z9 (I think the old 199) and an stack train. We watched this unfold both of us not believing it would be timed just right...it was.
