Once we knew this guy was headed east, we scrambled up to the top of Crozier Canyon for this view.

After a lot of waiting in Afton Canyon we were greeted with this eastbound vehicle train with three new GEVO's in the consist.

Two bridges, two trains. NS 11J and NS 13G paralleled their way west under the Westinghouse Bridge and the Triboro Expressway under a weird combination of moon, clouds, and snow.

With a beautiful day on the Pacific coast and 17 minutes on the parking meter I was able to snag this shot in between family-friendly activities!

Many of the crossing flashers were not yet in service, requiring the AVR crew to flag each crossing. If not for this practice we would not have been able to chase this job.

Train 101 heads south out of Bowden with three ex-UP six-axles. Apparently FEC will be purchasing 6 SD70M-2's; it will be interesting to see what colors they end up in.
