Heading south, the UP Saugus Local backs through the Burbank Airport Amtrak platform - enroute to Burbank Jct. with caboose 4612 leading pure SP GP40M-2's 7125 and 7135.
Patch UP1482 with the Mulford Job was caught today returning north to Mulford yard in San Leandro. Mulford is the very northern tip of the 470 mile ex-Southern Pacific Coast Line.
Rare indeed. Only about 18 Cotton Belt GP40-2s left.

The Livermore Local or "54 Local" was caught on tis day with only one unit requiring a long hood forward move from Warm Springs all the way to Livermore on the ex-WP Oakland Sub.
