The Hartwell's most recent acquisition, ex-SOU/NS GP38-2 No. 5130, looks right at home along the former Southern Railway branch as it trundles past the beautifully restored Lavonia depot.

HRT 1973 (ex PC 7874), HRT 654 (ex EJE 654) and HRT 3000 (ex MKT 186) pass Lavonia, GA 10/27/17 on their run to the NS interchange at Toccoa, GA.

After a day of drilling storage cars around Bowersville, the Hartwell crew makes a late day run to pick up some cars on the main at Lavonia. The crew will take it a few miles and call it a day.

With a couple hoppers to drop at the plant, HRT's Bowersville local pulls to a stop in Lavonia, Georgia so it can drop them.

Led by an Ex PC GP38 wearing Conrail colors, a HRT local shoves a couple hoppers into the plant just south of Lavonia before continuing south to Bowersville.
