Not as esthetically pleasing, but now history never-the-less. 3106 fills in for 5771 on the westbound Rio Grande Zephyr near Troublesome in June 1981, with Wilson McCarthy bringing up the rear.
With a late afternoon storm gathering over Middle Park, 5397 5382 approach Troublesome siding, just east of Kremmling, with a westbound rail train in May 1981.
