As UP 6310 continued to make its way around the CP, it was hooked up to CP 7018 in St. Paul and made for a rather unforgettable lashup on CP 286.

The helper set returns going north down Byron Hill after shoving A446 up the grade.

I was expecting to go north to simply catch local power, the Byron hill helper set, and common power; the last thing everyone expected was a BC Rail C40-8M to lead north. Here it is rolling past ... (more)

IC 2457 leads a rather late A446 into Schiller Park Yard to set out and pick up some cars. It is rather interesting to see this C40-8W continuing to earn its keep in 2021.

CP 6068 throttles up at Tower A-20 with the TEC train, after being stopped for a few minutes.

Two Metra F40PHs duel it out just east of the Park Ridge depot. One train is a hotshot express, while the other is a more typical all-stops service.

METX 421 arrives at the Morton Grove Metra station during rush hour, packed with commuters. This is one of the last MP36PHs that have -3S specifications.

CN A446 heads south past the Des Plaines switch with the IC 2457 in charge of the train.

KCS 4110 leads CP 281 past Morton Grove, over the North Branch of the Chicago River. This shot had always been on my bucket list, but I was never able to make it work up to this point.
