The Coast Starlight had a full, summertime consist today. It was running about 40 minutes late.
And that is the Pacific Ocean off to the right.
This might have been considered the move of the day, other than LOP81 and switching.
The maximum speed is ten miles per hour. Any faster will cause problems.
The ice cream truck was canvassing the neighborhood at this time.
This nice, clean-looking engine will spend the night in San Luis Obispo.
Note the engines in the background waiting for their signal.
If I was thinking, I would've taken the picture further back so you could see the SP Moorpark depot. This train was running almost 2 hours late.
Second engine looks leased, third is Conrail. Note the smoke from the engines, almost reminds me of SP.

Unfortuneately, the horses didn't want to be in the picture.
Look to the right of the top headlight. Looks like some sort of drawing on it. Like an egg wearing a hat.
