Like many other GE Warbonnets, BNSF 857 looks like it's shading paint and is in dire need of a repaint. Here BNSF 857 brings well cars west.

Running 44 minutes late Amtrak's Empire Builder runs through Newport at track speed. I find it thrilling to be standing next to a train rolling this fast past you!

The Amtrak diesel has been cut away and a few of the passenger cars have been removed. A bit later after this shot was taken the cars cut off from the train were moved to the Midway Amtrak depot.... (more)
