A passenger special moves through an industrial area before heading east across the prairie. This locomotive is the last of it's kind still operating.

A rare sight to catch this unique locomotive pulling an engineering special through the Moffat Tunnel, as a westbound manifest waits for it's turn.

Southbound coal train passes the remnants of a wreck. Two light-rail and two freight tracks have been blocked here, with just one more open for use.

Wrecked coal cars are lined up out of the way of track repairs. The involved light rail commuter train can be seen in the distance. No serious injuries.

Crews clean up after a derailment from the day before. Several cars of a coal train turned over and caused a light rail train to come off the adjacent track as well.

In an unusual move, the crew is turning the power before heading into the Rocky Mountains with the California Zephyr. The train was parked at Denver's Union Station.

Built for the SSW in March of 1966, it still has traces of SP-style lighting.
