Champions have turned up on 224 a few times the past few days, possibly showing off for the new Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, where this train comes from.

The first time that I have seen three Champs and a Susan Komen unit on FEC 226 was today. Power was in Ft. Lauderdale for grand opening of a new port facility.

FEC 226 hustles through Colfax just after a tropical shower had moved through. It's that time of year again where sudden downpours can turn up at any time.

Though not as frequent, occasionally 101 gets 2nd generation power, this time lead by two Champs and one of FEC's last new GP40-2's. However the clock is ticking as the GE's are coming.

The 111 rolls south with a repainted SD40-2 and three blue GP40-2's.

FEC Family days special bound for New Smyrna Beach for FEC's "Family Day". Family members of the railway will get rides and to see what their spouses do for a living.

FEC 101 thunders through Colfax with one of FEC's 7 Champions leading near 2 miles of train. It's a spectacular day in northeast Florida.

FEC 101 through a tropical deluge. Heavy rains associated with a system in the gulf doused the area today. EMD's on priority trains likely will be a thing of the past by this time next year.

In a driving rain, FEC 101 thunders south out of Bunnell. While the north sees the snow, we see rain like no where else in the USA, sometimes coming down 2-4 inches per hour.
