I can still smell the paint curing as 6017 the 25th Anniversary BNSF Heritage locomotive passes me south of Spruce.

BNSF 6017 stands out from the rest of this train as the newly painted unit leads a unit coal train south down the Joint Line.

One of the 25th anniversary units leads a Southbound unit coal train down the Joint Line on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely one of the cleanest units I’ve ever seen on a coal train!
