Three SOO units give off quite a bit of heat as they near the top of the hill just north of Alexandria. The 490 departed Thief River Falls yard this morning at 0555 behind a stellar lashup.

Here's something for the Soo fans out there. Three Soo Line units, including a bandit MP15 and an SD60M, roll across the open farmland just a few miles north of Glenwood.

Pounding the diamond at West Toronto, CP 426's head end rolls off into the distance as diamond dust starts to settle from the wheel pounding.

CP runthrough power was quite common on NS train 11R in the late 1990s. Occaisionally, SOO power would also stray South.

Coal loads headed for the power plant at Fayette; the northern extreme of CP's Latta Sub. The train just crossed the CSX St Louis Line at Preston; just about to cross the CSX CE&D Sub at Dewey.
