A former Illinois Central SD40-2 leads an empty ore train at Bachelor’s Curve, on the climb up Proctor Hill. Former DM&IR 403, the last Missabe-painted SD40-3, is the third unit.

The late evening sun is about to go behind the hill but I managed to grab a shot of the 15:30 PRS backing down to the Lakehead Storage with a cut of empty cars.
