The line of equipment from this year's Homewood Railroad Days heads back into the yard. The equipment this year was EJ&E SD38-2 670, IC SD40-2 6132, CN E9(A) 102 and two CN business cars.

EJ&E 670 leads the eastbound loaded State Line coal train through Crest Hill, nearing CTC Turner.

A lone J SD38-2 rounds up a couple dozen empty coke cars along the steel mills of East Chicago and high balls back to Kirk in the late afternoon light.

Five engines (three J SD38-2's and two of the three leased HLCX units) head light, eastbound towards the Joliet Yard.

The crew of EJ&E 670 gets back on after uncoupling from the rest of the train. It will head to the West Bridge Junction, cross over and return light to Joliet Yard.
