Classic Alco locomotive basks in the morning sunshine. The 2035 will accompany M420W 2045 on the tri-weekly PT-98 run to Slateford Junction, Pa.
A few minutes after 3254 went through with the AAPRCO special, DL RS-32 2035 and M420W 2045 pass through Point of Gap. They will couple up to the special in Slateford and lead in back to Scranton.
DL 2035 leads PT 98 past the former Lackawanna station at Cresco. The station is currently being stripped and going to be repainted.
DL 2035 and 3642 pull a pair of lumber cars out of the Bestway Lumber Yard on their way to Slateford Jct.
The Eastbound Portland Turn passes the former Lackawanna tower at East Stroudsburg. The tower is currently under restoration and looks very good.
A gray, misty morning finds a RS32/RS3 set leading a very short Portland turn east out of Scranton.
