A young family welcomes booming 734 to Frostburg..looks as if one more railfan may be eventually added to our numbers!

734 has just entered Brush Run Tunnel on the way back to Cumberland.

734 makes her first trip of 2010 around the famous curve, now sporting John Helmstetter's new barn.

734 works upgrade high above Mt Savage. This is typical of most of her run, grade and curves! Note in this 2003 photo there is no trail alongside the ROW. That would come later.

The trail along side 734's route to Frostburg is being used for a 3 mile run this day, and the lady handing out water gives the crew of 734 a wave, as the big 2-8-0 takes her train back to Cumberl... (more)

Working on the lower part of Helmstetter's Curve, nice dry rail and a seven car train, no helper. She sounds great and looks great, steam from the stoker exhaust under her tender.

Resting at the Cumberland Station after the run to Frostburg. Due to long train, and limited siding length at Frostburg, 734 has come back down on the rear of the train.

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon..with a bag of snacks and watching two pretty WMSR Geeps as they return to Cumberland with a long train.

Hundreds of folks ride the WMSR when the leaves turn. Here is an example of the flurry of activity when 734 arrives at the depot with a full load of people. She gets a lot of attention!
