UP Big Boy 4014 (4-8-8-4) rounds the corner at Speer, Wyoming on its way back to the Cheyenne Yard after a successful test run.

70 years ago it would have been a common sight to see a Big Boy engine rounding the curve and the water tank at Speer, Wyoming.

UP 4014 (4-8-8-4) looks like its back in the 1950's as it heads back to the large yard in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The Union Pacific did a test run of the 4014 Big Boy engine. The team ran backwards between Cheyenne and Speer, Wyoming, then reversed direction letting 4014 lead the way home.

UP 4014 was given a test run today by running backwards from Cheyenne to Speer, Wyoming, and then running forward back to the massive Yard in Cheyenne.
