Southbound, departing Kosmosdale. Today's consist includes: GP40-3/slug set, two leased units (SD9043MAC and GP38-2), GP38-2, and GP40-2.

PL4 crosses the shorter and lower of the two trestles on Muldraugh Hill as it descends the grade on its northward trip into Louisville.

A late running PL4 heads north toward Louisville. Usually in the yard around sunup, it's a rare occasion to see this train out and running in good light.

Just another GP-10. Where are they all now I wonder.

I had been here about a month and P&L had been existence about three months when I shot this WB local. The logo hadn't show up yet but IC or ICG was gone.

Another freshly painted Paducah Geep by the grain silos.

This is another example of recently painted unit in silver. It's okay when fresh but lacks something.

One of the first two pieces of equipment was this ex-IC caboose. These were some of my favorite cabooses. I like the "porches", the cushion underframe and the extended cupola.

This unit really seemed to like the E'town local and was here before getting a repaint.

The E'town local is EB approacing an old truss bridge with a few cars for local industries.

Crossing the new bridge, the local heads back to Cecilia and the mainline after switching industries. The line used to connect with L&N in town but no more.

With this shot I figured I had done about all I could with this train and headed elsewhere.

All the GP-10s were eventually lodged in the 8300s and this was the first paint scheme. This one was repainted around 1987 and the paint job has a few years on it at this point.

Two days prior to Christmas the E'town local is back to the main with a great little train.
