The great consist of BNSF 4227 (B2307 (Bluebonnet)) and CSXT 8315 (SD40-2 (Dark Future)) leads Q300 east through Piscataway on a luckily clear December morning.
For the third day in a row BNSF 4227 was used on a Philadelphia-Oak Island (Newark) train. Today it leads a trash train.
CSXT 5287 leads two BNSF "Pumpkins" and a leaser past this switch stand that used to serve the chemical center in Piscataway.

The fresh paint on these relatively new units is made obvious by the drab winter landscape on the Lehigh Line.
A mix of BNSF, NS and UP power lead an eastbound on the Lehigh Line. This is the first snowfall of the season in NJ. Included in the consist are UP 2830 (SD45T-2) and UP 3962 (SD70M).
