The daily 09h30 departure for Grand Canyon village bask under the morning sun. The train will follow (and overtake) the double-header steam operated pulled by Grand Canyon 4960 and ATSF 3751.

GCRY 4960 and ATSF 3751 reverse pass the photo line for the southbound runby. This photo of the shove back ended up being much better than the runby due to a poorly planned runby location.

ATSF 3751 and GCRY 4960 simmer during a layover in front of the old Santa Fe depot at the Grand Canyon as railfans and tourists alike stand in awe of the steam powered beasts.

Ex LS&I 2-8-0 #29 is just south of the Pronghorn road crossing about 3 miles north of Williams. This was the first summer of operation for the railway.
