Southern 4501 roars past with a beautiful plume of coal smoke as she approaches Mecaslin Street in metro Atlanta. Today she is powering an Atlanta to Chattanooga round trip Southern Steam Special.

We're at Birmingham's Southern Railway Terminal Station in the early morning. T&P 610 has attracted a crowd that is watching her being serviced. The train will depart for Chattanooga at 7am.
