New new GEVO heads up main #2 as it comes out of the cut at Stein's Hill. It seemed on this day every train was running up or down the wrong track in the pass.
At Amboy four westbounds are stacked up as the first takes off for Barstow. This first train is hauling frieght from Cadiz to Barstow, five engines all 4 axle power!
A westbound on main #2 makes the sharp turn turning it away from Route 66 back to the east for the long climb through Klondike.

Sitting at the famous San Ardo oil fields new power UP 8597 & 8598 await their turn to hook up to the famous California Coast Oilcans for their trip to Los Angeles.
DPU's push all brand new BNSF hoppers westward along Cajon Blvd towards Los Angeles. The lead engine on this train was 4723, the Train Simulator locomotive.
Passing through Sullivan's Curve an eastbound makes it's way up Cajon Pass.
A westbound passes through the big town of Ludlow in the Mojave Desert. Also note, the 4th engine has a Conrail door on the front of the cab.
