Amtrak's Texas Eagle crosses the Blanco River and the old Post Road as it proceeds north along the Balcones Escarpment bound for Fort Worth and Dallas and eventually Chicago.
The Espee lives on in 2013. Only a handful of unpatched units remain on UP's roster and I doubt they will last much longer, this one returning to glory for a lead run on a high priority Z train.
