Binghamton was a hub of activity in the early days of stacktrains. NYS&W would bring them west from NJ and the D&H [Guilford] would run them west over the former EL mainline to Buffalo.

The U33-C's were the only six axle power to survive the D&H's six axle purge. Here a clean 762 sits on the ready tracks at the old Bevier Street Yard.

D&H, like many roads, experimented with simpler paint schemes in an attempt to save some money. D&H 2311 was painted in a unique grey scheme which earned this unit the nickname the "grey ghost".
