Train #5 is at Truckee on a overcast winter day The second unit stalled after the train stopped at the station. After a restart, the GE put out quit a plume of black smoke for a great show!

Working in the Truckee yard, SP GP9 #3763, along with breaker equipped GP38 #4811, are serving as that day's Truckee Local. The building to the right is the now gone Louisianna Pacific Mill.

Eastbound manifest rolling thru E Truckee gets the slow order for track maintenance, as it descends down Donner Pass headed toward Reno NV.

With the railroad shut down overnight, the rails the run through Truckee have completly disappeared as the SD70Ace has iced over.

UP 7668 East leads an interesting consist, in which would also include two DPUs on a Roseville to Roper manifest through Truckee, passing the restored depot.
