The sun has just shown itself and the Officer Special is right on time leaving Bakersfield, and can be seen in the distance, for it's trip to Los Angeles and then on to Las Vegas.

I was fortunate to catch this westbound train descending the pass before heading back to the Bay Area. The evening light at several spots, including Bena as seen here, was fantastic.
