Once one of D&H's finest, this big Century sits outside a crumbling Colonie shops. Both have seen better days. BTW, when fresh, this color scheme is second only to the Erie-Lackawanna's.
The last FL-9 built rips through Breakneck in a thick Hudson River fog, yellow nose and all.
Not Radio Equipped.
Note the wash rack at the nose of the unit installed to wash the U-34-CH's. Since they paid for them, the N.J.D.O.T. wanted them clean. And this SW-9 is still "Radio Equipped"!
Very early "Radio Equipped" Conrail.
