After the storm. After a morning blizzard that hit northern Utah. The weather subsided and the sun popped out for this westbound.

I was able to catch this guy out in the open. Big West Oil / Flying J, 1 working the refinery in North Salt Lake.

It's an F45 fest on the Utah Railway helper set. Two SD40's sandwich F45 5525 (MKM leaser) Utah Railway 9013 and MKM 5527 another leaser. A pretty cool day to be chasing the Utah.

A former Australian iron ore SD50S, and a MK5000C with a 5000 horse power Caterpillar motor, sandwich two SD40's. It's a changing of the guard for Utah Railway, with their new to them locomotives.... (more)

Union Pacific 7948 heads up the I-15 corridor on the Salt Lake Subdivision, with an empty coal train. Heading for Wyoming for another load.
