Number 1415 (Vulcan 1920) is leaving the Jose Smith Comas sugar mill with an empty train. The wagons will be dispatched to the different loading points along the line.

Number 1808 is arriving at the central Cuba Libre with a loaded cane train. This engine has been built by Baldwin in 1927 for this mill.

The grade from the sugar mill to one of the nearby loading point is very steep. The little engines had to work very hard to overcome it. The show made by these locomotives was just majic!

Photographed at the mill weighbridge in March 1996, N° 1138 (built by Baldwin in 1908) was a welcome sight for railfans as Simon Bolivar mill had not been in use for the previous few seasons.

N°1530 is a Baldwin locomotive from 1925. It is seen here storming out into the fields with a long train of empties.

With the amount of oil leaking from the fuel tank of N° 1122 there is little chance of the motion seizing through lack of lubrication. This little switcher has been built by Porter in 1909.

Number 1306 is Baldwin from 1912. In March 2000, the locomotive was shunting in the yard.
