Winter storm conditions this morning as Amtrak Adirondack busts through snow drifts on its way south

Montreal-New York City Amtrak Adirondack is still on time this morning

Being the first train to roll on this line most of the time after snowstorms, Amtrak 68 is forced to hit the snowbanks, much to the pleasure of fans like me and Railfan60! ;)

The snow has tapered off overnight and New York City bound Amtrak Adirondack clears the right of way as it races south through the city.

Clear blue skies, snow banks and a train; what a nice mix don't you think?

Under a 5 mph speed restriction, Amtrak 694 is about to roll on a newly welded section of rail visible in front of loco. Temperature was below -26c (-15f)
