A GP-7 & a late model GP-9 used to commonly show up and just wait around until the the train of coal for the Kingston plant showed up. I think it all moves in unit trains now.

The was just a real surprise, seeing two of these on a coal train from the SOU interchange at Emory Gap to the steam plant.
TVA FM #24 at Gallatin, TN || May 1972
Built in October 1958 a Fairbanks Morse H16-66 had just recieved a fresh coat of paint when I caught it setting outside the power plant at Gallatin Tennessee.
