What with run throughs and borrowed power, you can "expect any train [locomotive] from any direction at any time"! Here, an NS leads a BNSF stacker south to Seattle.

Almost like the old days, with all this green running alongside Puget Sound at the head of a northbound freight! Hardly even have to squint ('cept for that warbonnet peeking around the bend).

Aging SD40-2s (three of the four locomotives in this power consist) still get assignments to move the big boxes. It's not always pretty but, hey, whatever works!

A BNSF Z Train waits at Mukilteo as the First Sounder passes by. I also set up my camcorder on a tripod to capture the action on film.

Due to a malfunctioned signal, this commuter train have lost over 30 minutes during the delay. As soon they fixed it, the train didn't hesistate to make up time.
