One of the many westbound Grainer's,crosses the causeway that separates the Columbia River from Horsethief Lake. The landscape becomes dryer as you travel farther east on the Columbia River.

Without any camera equipment on front, 4449 looks like a classic steam era express as it rolls into the eastern Colombia river basin. A few miles ahead, it will wye at the Celilo bridge.
