Running short on crew time, the NECR 324-13 rolls past mile 29 at Sharon, VT with NECR SD40 6281, NECR GP38 3847, and FEC GP40-3 437.
All five units received damage but only one had to be scraped and no crew members were seriouly injured.
Damage looks bad but shop forces were able to rebuilt unit for many more useful years.
Another shot of the damage to the lead unit on CV 490 which hit a wash out caused by a beaver dam letting go in heavy overnight rain. The crew was shaken but suffered no life threatening injuries... (more)
