An NS manifest train heads through Birmingham past the Sloss Furnaces.

A former CN SD40, since rebuilt into an SD40-2 by BNSF, idles at BlendStar's fuel terminal at BNSF's East Thomas Yard.

Still working hard for many decades now, this Ex Conrail EMD waits with a short consist in Birmingham for a crew. At dusk, this 3,000 horsepower beast finally gets powered up.
