The beast heads east! The Big Boy passes the station sign for the small town of Egbert on its first trip east from Cheyenne towing a few covered hoppers for added braking/tonnage.
After replacing the wooden bridge over South Boulder Creek with a more modern concrete panel bridge, the Ohio Crane that lifted the panels waits for a ride back to Denver.
