After patiently waiting for the eastbound California Zephyr to clear, UP 7703 is underway westbound, heading for the summit with track inspection vehicle EC-4 in tow.

A three-way meet? Not quite, a northbound transfer heads towards Saint Paul, between two strings of idling yard locomotives and some miscellaneous cars.

A short transfer freight waits to depart the yard southbound, with GP38-2 GTW 5836 in number two position. That locomotive has since received a new paint job.
