After the historic 2004 Ohio Valley snowstorm, NS I84 rolls west. This was another shot made possible by Jeep 4WD and a tedious climb up the icy hill to the observation deck. (I slipped once).
9701 & 8424 power mine run U63 west through the former coal boom town of Davy, WV. Times have gone bust in Davy these days but the rail action remains red hot!
