Metra 180 slows to a stop, just outside of Joliet Station, preparing to switch onto the Rock Island District. This is the first Heritage Corridor of the evening.

Heritage Corridor train 917 strolls across the BNSF's entrance to Corwith yard, past Corwith tower, and past one of the only remaining GM&O CPL's in Chicago on its journey west toward Joliet.

Offically the only place on Metra's system where you can get an F40PH pasing semaphores....

With the NS Panhandle line and CN/IC main 1 already OOS, this Heritage line train heads south at a crawl.
