A Soo Line SD60 leads eastbound train 490 across the Paynesville Subdivision on another unseasonably warm (and snowless) January day.

An ethanol train comes through CP Hick with a rainbow of power, led by a candy apple SD60.

Out of the steam from BP's massive Whiting refinery comes a CP ethanol train, led by cherry red SOO 6049.

On the coldest day this winter, SOO 6049 is shot leading CP 147 at first line. It was a nice surprise seeing a candy apple SOO leading a train.

This surprised the group as it rounded the corner. A "candy-apple" colored SOO 6049 pulled train 147 through Guelph Junction in the early evening, sharing the workload with CP veteran 5908.

CP 182 creeps southward towards Bensenville seen from the I90 overpass. 'Car trouble...' What can you do???

CP 182 meets a northbound UP coal train at Howard Street in Des Plaines.

Another 182 train is seen here at A-20 with another SOO leader...No complaints here!!!

Under blue skies, SOO 6049 and CP 5749 head south through Des Plaines, bound for Bensenville Yard.

In the midst of its short trip down the UP, intermodal train 182 rounds the curve at Howard Street, bound for a crew swap with 281 at Bryn Mawr.
