The M&E has been borrowing NJ Transit GP40PH-2 4106 and NS GP40-2 3010 since both M&E C424s are out of service due to various ailments. M&E C424 18 should return to service by the end of this week... (more)
A former CNJ GP40 now sitting in storage with two other locomotives and a string of passenger cars.
NJT 4106, a former CNJ GP40 #3671, sits on the Garwood Industrial track along with NJT 4121 & 4117 and 16 passenger cars. NJT has been rehabbing this former CNJ track over the last few months.

A former Jersey Central GP40 pushes a Hoboken bound train east through Lyndhurst.
Former CNJ GP40P locomotives remain in daily sevice on NJ Transit. The big EMDs will be 40 years old during 2008. The 4106 is powering Hoboken to Dover train 633.
NJT 4106 is coupled to two other former CNJ GP40P units. This class of locomotives constitutes the oldest intact fleet of mainline passenger locomotives in the U.S. These units are 39 years old.... (more)
