Amtrak Downeaster train 686 flies through the Scarborough marsh on a chilly Thursday afternoon.

The northbound Downeaster kicks up leaves as it passes an old factory building in Exeter, New Hampshire. The Exeter station stop is visible through the trees to the right of the train.

Amtrak Downeaster #682 bursts out of the early morning fog and past the old Boston and Maine station at Wells, Maine.

Train 685 recedes into the distance as it continues on its journey to Brunswick.
