Amtrak No. 8, the eastbound Empire Builder crosses Gaynor trestle over Nason Creek at MP 1696 near Berne, WA. This train had two units, a deadhead Superliner car and four private cars on the rear.

Running just a tad behind this morning (about 6 hours), the Empire Builder kicks up the overnight snow as it cruises east at 79 mph through Lincoln, MN.

Having just completed their station stop at Columbus Wi. The westbound Empire Builder races across the backroads of Wisconsin towards their next stop in Portage Wi.

During the last light of day, the westbound Empire Builder leaves the shadows at M.P. 288 and enters the CP River Subdivision.
