An autorack heads east behind the 98J worktrain at Devon, where one can always find an old GP38 sitting most evenings.

The Pokey never rests as a work train has to to hold in a siding to let two trains pass on an early morning along the fog covered Tug valley.

Backing all the way to Wharncliffe, NS worktrain 98J enters the west portal of Glen Alum tunnel. Spring has just begun in the hills along the Tug Fork valley.

Workers splice together two more sections of welded ribbon rail as it feeds out for miles along the Pokey. This area suffers fast wear on the iron due to heavy coal tonnage and extreme curvature.

Work train picking up ties and trees has just cleared Ought-One on Main 1 and will head to Glen Alum after traffic gets by. It is obvious that Main 1 is used for grain trains heading east.
