A Roseville bound manifest blasts by the SP style target signal at MP 366.6 just south of Monolith, on Union Pacific's Mojave Sub.

UP 5523 North, with three GEVOs and a SD70ACe up front, slowly rolls downgrade through Caliente until the rear of the train clears the speed restriction for northbounds on the horseshoe curve.

Another rerouted manifest makes it's way up Soledad Cyn where the canyon begins to get narrow. This one was caught crossing the bridge over the Santa Clara River, and about to enter tunnel #19.
