On a beautiful and clear July morning, Q602 with a DPU pusher on the rear are about to blast through the city of Opelika.

After a meet with counterpart Q601, Q602 and its interesting lash-up of locomotives rumble their way over the ex-Central of Georgia mainline as they continue onto Waycross, GA.

A phase II SD70M leads the DPU-less Q602 through Mt. Meigs as it meets Q619 on the left and tucks in behind A746 ahead.

A 12,000 foot long Q602 winds it way down into Montgomery and onto the Western Railway of Alabama's Chester Yard with the Alabama River and I-65 in the background.

After meeting K877 at the Opelika siding, Q602 gets underway as it heads north towards LaGrange and then onto Waycross, GA while passing the Western Railway of Alabama coal tower.
