After departing Bristol 20 minutes late, it is time to make up time on a beautiful spring morning pulling excursion train to Radford and return.

Work train, looking a little scruffy with DIY markings, waits for an eastbound to clear before resuming trek to Bristol to pick up side-dump ballast stone cars.

On a beautiful winter's day an westbound freight with an unusually large consist passes the old standby-dash-out-of-the-house photo spot.

The main is out of service today and this eastbound is going thru the siding with a somewhat interesting consist of motive power.

Once again the local has gone "dead on the law" and will wait in Abingdon for a crew to be bused out at a latter time. Three units consists are rare and look, these all match.

Having been in NS Rehab 6088 has been turned around and is running short hood as the official front as it rushes the local back home to Bristol.

I have soft spot for rebuilds, repowers, etc. Here a "catch" is hurrying west toward Bristol, the days work done.
