V&T's #D1 90 Ton GE is backing downhill to Gold Hill with the train from Virginia City while 2-8-0 #29 waits at the depot with the train from Mound House

Climbing at Milepost 13, V&T #29 has just passed thru American Flat tunnel. The right of way it will soon traverse can be seen to the upper left of the stack.

#29 has just taken water at Scales and is now heading for the North side of American Flat. For the time being, V&T is using the tender off their ex-SP 0-6-0 #1251 to provide water at Scales.

Turning into the Lodi yard from their now truncated mainline, Central California Traction (former Alameda Belt/ATSF) #44 has a string of tank cars to be switched into the ADM plant.

Heading North out of Alma, MI, Great Lakes Central has the daily northbound freight in tow. Note 390's lack of dynamics and its ALCO trucks

Sierra #50 has seven empty centerbeams in tow, six of which will be left at Chinese Camp. One empty will go on to the soon to close Sierra Pacific mill behind Sonora.

About to duck into the East Portal of the MUNI's Twin Peaks Tunnel, PCC 1149 is in L-Taravel service. Soon all this track and the tunnel entrance will be demolised for BARTD construction

Saturday June 13th, motor car M-300 has turned at Northspur and is ready to return to Willits. As soon as M-300 departs, 2-8-2 #45 will also turn and take its train back to Fort Bragg
