BNSF 5999 leads the way up Crawford Hill just as the snow ends and the sun comes out shining a little extra light.

A westbound BNSF empty unit coal train patiently waits at Belmont, NE for a set of helpers to cut off an eastbound loaded train and head back to Crawford ahead of it.

Almost to the top, BNSF 5811 struggles up Crawford Hill approaching the old tunnel and the new giant cut.

This helper set is assisting a loaded coal up the hill on the morning of March 31st. It was interesting to see the red and silver BNSF Dash 9 on the helper set.

One of the few general freights that traverse a line dominated by coal trains. These trains are the one that seem to get different BNSF power. (Not the AC units that dominate on the coal trains)

This set of Helpers are just seconds from cutting off the loaded train, crossing over to the south track and heading back to base to shove another train over the hill.
