A somewhat unusual Sunday extra is about to leave PC and head for Dothan behind 509, SD40 506, SD9s 503 and 504, and GP39 507. Pretty big-time power for an 82-mile railroad.

I believe I posted this string from the other end a couple of days ago and thought folks might like to see the reversed.

Rusty wheels, missing parts, cap on the stack gone and general condition tell us this old gal has probably burbled her last burble.

Back in the days when ASAB had an interesting roster this varied lashup was just an ordinary consist to take the road freight north but that 38 on the far end is a harbinger of uniformity to come.
